Day 01
Guwahati – Laitlum Canyons – Shillong
Upon arrival at Guwahati Railway Station at 06:00 AM, guests will be warmly received by our representative and assisted with their onward journey to Meghalaya, famously known as the "Abode of Clouds." En route, enjoy breakfast at Hotel Rajasthani Dhani at 07:30 AM before commencing the scenic drive towards Shillong. At 09:00 AM, proceed towards the breathtaking Laitlum Canyons, located approximately 105 kilometres from Guwahati. The journey takes guests through picturesque hill roads, pine forests, and charming Khasi villages, offering a glimpse into the natural beauty of the region.
Arrive at Laitlum Canyons around 12:00 PM and experience one of Meghalaya's most spectacular viewpoints. Translating to "End of Hills," Laitlum is renowned for its dramatic cliffs, deep valleys, rolling green hills, and panoramic landscapes stretching as far as the eye can see. The pristine surroundings, cool mountain breeze, and stunning vistas make it an ideal destination for photography and nature appreciation. After spending time exploring the canyons and enjoying the magnificent scenery, depart at 01:00 PM for Shillong.
Reach Shillong by approximately 02:00 PM and check in to the hotel. The remainder of the afternoon is free for relaxation or independent exploration of Shillong's vibrant markets and local attractions. In the evening, enjoy a specially arranged Gala Dinner at the hotel featuring live music performances, premium liquor service, and an elaborate buffet offering a choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies. The evening promises entertainment, great food, and memorable moments before retiring for an overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 02
Shillong to Cherrapunjee Day Excursion
After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Cherrapunjee (Sohra), one of Meghalaya's most spectacular destinations and once recognized as the wettest place on Earth. The scenic drive from Shillong to Cherrapunjee is a memorable experience, offering breathtaking views of rolling green hills, deep valleys, mist-covered landscapes and cascading waterfalls. Along the route, enjoy several viewpoints that provide panoramic vistas of the East Khasi Hills.
Your first stop is the magnificent Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, where you can admire the dramatic gorge and lush surroundings. Adventure enthusiasts may also opt for activities such as ziplining (at an additional cost). Continue to Nohkalikai Falls, India's tallest plunge waterfall, where you can enjoy spectacular views and learn about the local legend associated with the falls.
The journey continues to the fascinating Mawsmai Cave, a naturally formed limestone cave featuring impressive stalactites and stalagmites. The cave offers a unique opportunity to explore Meghalaya's underground geological wonders. You will also visit the Seven Sisters Falls (Nohsngithiang Falls), one of the region's most iconic waterfalls, especially impressive during the monsoon season when multiple streams cascade down the cliffs simultaneously.
Later, proceed to Eco Park, maintained by the Meghalaya Government, which offers beautifully landscaped gardens and panoramic views of the surrounding valleys extending into the plains of Bangladesh. Depending on time and weather conditions, you may also visit Arwah Cave, known for its limestone formations and ancient marine fossils, or enjoy additional viewpoints around Sohra.
After sightseeing, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (on your own or as per the tour inclusions) and spend some time exploring the charming town of Cherrapunjee. Day 03
Shillong to Mawlynnong and Dawki
After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Mawlynnong and Dawki, two of Meghalaya's most captivating destinations. The drive from Shillong takes you through picturesque landscapes, winding mountain roads, lush forests, cascading streams and charming Khasi villages, offering breathtaking views of the East Khasi Hills throughout the journey.
Your first destination is Mawlynnong, famously known as "Asia's Cleanest Village." Renowned for its immaculate surroundings, eco-friendly practices and warm Khasi hospitality, the village is a perfect example of sustainable tourism. Stroll through the clean stone pathways lined with colourful flowers and traditional Khasi homes, experiencing the peaceful village atmosphere. Visit the Living Root Bridge, a remarkable natural structure created by intertwining the roots of rubber trees over several generations, showcasing the ingenuity of the Khasi people. You may also climb the Sky View Tower, a bamboo observation tower that offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and even the plains of neighbouring Bangladesh on a clear day.
After exploring Mawlynnong, continue your journey to the beautiful border town of Dawki, located on the banks of the crystal-clear Umngot River. Dawki is internationally renowned for its incredibly transparent waters, where boats appear to float on air due to the river's exceptional clarity, especially during the winter months. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Umngot River (at an additional cost), surrounded by pristine natural beauty and towering green hills, making it one of the most photographed destinations in Northeast India.
Later, visit the historic Dawki Suspension Bridge, built during the British era, and explore the nearby Indo-Bangladesh Border, where you can witness the international border and observe the unique cross-border atmosphere. Spend some time relaxing by the riverside, capturing memorable photographs and enjoying the serene environment.
Lunch may be enjoyed at a local restaurant en route or in Dawki (on your own or as per the tour inclusions), where you can savour local Khasi cuisine and regional delicacies.
In the late afternoon, begin your scenic drive back to Shillong. En route, admire the rolling hills, dense forests and picturesque countryside that make Meghalaya one of India's most beautiful states. Upon arrival in Shillong, the evening is free for leisure. Guests may choose to explore Police Bazaar, enjoy local cafés or shop for traditional handicrafts and souvenirs.

Day 04
Shillong - Guwahati (3 Hrs/ 100 Kms)
After a leisurely breakfast, check out from the hotel in Shillong and begin your scenic drive to Guwahati, the largest city in Northeast India and the gateway to the region. The journey takes you through the picturesque hills of Meghalaya, offering panoramic views of lush green valleys, pine forests and charming countryside landscapes before gradually descending into the fertile plains of Assam.
Upon arrival in Guwahati, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax after the journey.
In the evening, subject to time availability, proceed to visit the revered Kamakhya Devi Temple, one of the most sacred Shakti Peethas in India, situated atop the Nilachal Hills. Dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya, the temple is an important centre of Hindu pilgrimage and is renowned for its unique architecture, spiritual significance and panoramic views of the Brahmaputra River and Guwahati city.
Alternatively, guests may choose to enjoy a relaxing Brahmaputra River Cruise (optional and subject to operational schedule). The cruise offers spectacular views of the mighty Brahmaputra River, especially during sunset, providing a peaceful and memorable experience. Guests can admire the city's skyline, river islands and surrounding landscapes while enjoying the refreshing evening breeze. Some cruises also feature live cultural performances, traditional Assamese folk music and local cuisine (at an additional cost).
After the sightseeing, return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 05
Guwahati airport departure
Early morning, after breakfast, check-out from hotel and then drop at airport / railway station for onward connection.
